Football Victory

On Monday evening, the school football team travelled to WASPS for the much-anticipated cup match.  St Philip's started strongly, George striking high into the net after a corner to take a 1-0 lead. Wasps struck back though and at half time the score was 1-1. However, with 10 mins to go, Joe was put through with just the goalkeeper to beat and he slotted home coolly. He then put the game beyond reach with another low shot. A special mention must go to Sascha, our goalkeeper, whose one-handed save from point blank range was quite remarkable in the first half.
