Volunteering at St Philip's
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at St Philip's. We greatly value the support of our volunteers and recognise the important contribution they make to our school community. Whether you can offer a regular commitment or occasional support, your time can make a real difference to our children.
There are many ways to get involved in school life. Some volunteers choose to support our PTFA and fundraising activities, while others are able to give time during the school day to work alongside staff and children.
Volunteer opportunities may include:
- Supporting educational visits and school trips
- Listening to children read
- Supporting learning activities in the classroom
- Practising number bonds, times tables or key skills with children
- Preparing resources and organising learning materials
- Supporting wider school events and activities
No previous experience is necessary; enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to support our children are what matter most.
At St Philip's, safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and the safety and wellbeing of our pupils is our highest priority. All volunteers are required to read our Volunteer Handbook and complete the appropriate application process before beginning any volunteering role. Depending on the nature of the role, this may include references, identity checks and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
If you would like to volunteer, please read the Volunteer Handbook and complete the volunteer application form below. Completed forms should be emailed to:
stpmail@palladianacademytrust.com
We look forward to welcoming you to our school community and thank you for considering supporting the children and families of St Philip's.
